Southern Green Gas technology partner University of Newcastle shares our 'Hydro Harvester'

9/7/2020

Filling gas pipelines with low cost
hydrogen made from water captured from the atmosphere and electrolysis powered by the sun is moving another step closer to reality.

Southern Green Gas technology partner, the University of Newcastle shared our Hydro Harvester technology which will harvest pure water from the air to create clean green hydrogen.

Led by Chemical Engineer, Professor Behdad Moghtaderi,  the University of Newcastle team is working with Southern Green Gas and APA Group to deploy renewable hydrogen in our ARENA funded power-to-gas demonstration plant near Roma in Queensland.

The project will convert green hydrogen into renewable methane which will be injected into existing gas infrastructure and piped to households and industrial users.

Southern Green Gas is delighted to work with some of Australia's leading universities, such as the University of Newcastle, to bring our pioneering clean energy technology to life.
