Southern Green Gas was pleased to make submission to the Australian government's Technology Investment Roadmap Discussion Paper calling for a prioritisation of green fuels.
The submission urges the Australian government to consider the important role renewable methane and methanol can play in enabling the transition to a vibrant low carbon economy.
In the context of the government's National Hydrogen Strategy and its announcement of its economic stretch target "H2 under 2" or hydrogen under $2 per kilogram, we suggest that renewable methane in particular presents a speed to market advantage for Australia to realise its hydrogen potential.
We look forward to continuing to work the Australian government as it develops its technology roadmap expected to be released in late 2020.
