We’ve partnered with organisations to use our technology to capture carbon dioxide from the air to transform it into renewable energy, food, fibre and chemicals. Our modular Direct Air Capture design has been created so that it’s easy to scale and the cost is reduced by being built for mass manufacture.
Our solution can work both off the grid and in remote locations. Thus, creating new jobs and income in rural and remote areas, while enabling companies to reduce their carbon footprint.

Southern Green Gas has spent the last four years at phase 1, creating next generation proprietary Metal Organic Framework (MOF) technology with our research partner team at Sydney University. The team won US$250,000 Musk Foundation XPRIZE award and raised A$600,000 in capital from institutional investments including Artesian and Vic Clean Tech.
Phase 2 is focused on prototyping the MOF and Direct Air Capture (DAC) modules in order to prepare the DAC modules for scalable manufacturing at the ARM Hub, Brisbane Queensland.
The successful completion of Phase 2 will provide detailed, de-risked plans for the full development and deployment of the DACs.
Location secured and manufacturing site established in NSW to produce SGG’s DAC modules at scale.
Full-scale Direct Air Capture modules operational in the field in Queensland, powered 100% by solar energy.
Following the successful rollout of the DAC modules in remote Australia, the first international sale of SGGs DAC modules are anticipated.
